I heard a lot about this movie so my expectations where high, and I found MirrorMask reasonably pleasant.

It's not bad, because it does keep you in expectation. 'MirrorMask' is the best movie from Dave McKean, but it's not a masterpiece.
The actors did an enjoyable job. Occasionally the movie was very compelling.
